When I joined here a few years ago, I had just got a 97 sportster. Road that for awhile to get use to riding after a 30 year absentence. Sold it and moved up to a bigger bike but not a HD. Did not want to get a big HD until I have ridden for a few more years.
Two weeks ago I got owl's 2007 HD Electric Glide Classic. Rode it home that night in on and off hard rain. Wife want to spend the night and go home the next morning, but I wanted to ride it home right then. Took 8 1/2 hours to make the 5 hour drive and got home with it at 4:30 AM. When I got home I had been up about 24 hours stright. Even though I do not like riding at night and in the rain, I am now in hog heaven (no pun intended).
In the two weeks today I have logged a little over 1K on the bike. My wife is starting to tell her freinds she is a Harley widow, even though I take her with me when she can go.
