Hi, My ride is a 85 FXWG, well the frame is anyway, my oil tank is 2 alloy suacepans, lots of other handmade stuff. Looking at getting the Mrs a ironhead sporty, dont like the EVO sporties much, neither does she.

Welcome aboard Bowsaw! I'm intrigued by your "custom" parts. Do you have any pictures?

Yeah, not good ones though, will try now to upload a few. My front master cyl is actually inside the handlebar, with just a tiny resiovour on top. Battery is housed in recess cut into the left hand tank, only a tiny batt, kick only. Front hub on 3 inch primary has a tablespoon of mercury in it, to assist in damping, does work to. Heaps of other little stuff.http://www.fordmods.com/phpBB2/galle...e=y&picref=627
Dont know if that will work or not.

I have a '79 sporty for sale pretty cheap. Interested? It's the last one here.

Yeah I think transportation would be costly. The bottom dollar I would accept for the bike would be $3500.

The bike realy is in good condition. It has some rust on the pipes, but that's to be expected on the orriginal pipes. New pipes are cheap. Second gear slips once in a while if you run it hard through the gears. I think there might be a tooth missing on the gear. Again not too big of a deal to fix. If you are interested look into shipping. I can't imagine shipping would be more than a couple grand. I don't know though. Up to you...

Wouldnt be bad if it was just the shipping, import tax, breathing air tax, we get slugged with EVERY friggin tax here, i am afraid it would be to much of a hassle, nice bike though, the wife reckons it looks good.
