Hi i just found this forum. I don't own a Harley, but just placed an order for an 05 sporster 1200custom. i so excited about this, but won't take delivery until 01 february. it will be my first bike, but hopefully more will follow. just wanted to hollar.
believe it or not harleybiker i did not test ride or anything. i am in iraq right now and was able to order through the military exchange program, so i did not get a test ride or anything. i just had to go with what i liked and a little more than what i could really afford and dive in feet first. i cann't sleep at night waiting, but it isn't so bad since i should take delivery about a week after i get home.

i got what i think a pretty good deal. i have shopped around on line. i got the 5 year beefed up warrantee and some other stuff. i don't pay freight or anything. 2 tone and optional laced wheels i came in at about 10,500. it is really a stretch for me. seeing as that much has always bought me a car, but i have said someday for so long that someday has come now and i took the plunge.
