Hey Pete,
I just got my first bike. A 1200 custom. It"s awesome !!!!!! I took a 2 day course on a suzuki 250. What a difference. I've ridden it once and I have a good amount of respect for what I have to learn. I also live in a suburb, but there are nice areas to ride. i'll have to take it slow. I can't wait to get home and ride for maybe a half hour before dark. good luck with yours.
