Hey guys, I'm new here, names David, just introducing myself. I don't currently own a bike, although I am looking to get one in the next year, and I'm looking mainly at Harleys.
I'm also looking for some advice and opinions since I'm here anyways.
I'm about 5'11" tall, weigh 170 pounds, about and average build I suppose, but I really like the Harley sportsters. I went to a local store the other day with a friend and sat on a '09 Nightster, the one I really want, in the Vivid Black, which is also what I want.
When I sat on it though, it just feels too small, and I sat on a Nightster that had the Forward control extension, and still, feels a little cramped. Now on my budget, the Nightster is great, its not too expensive and plenty affordable, 1200cc is probably a good engine size for me, I've been riding bikes for a little bit, and most people think I have a good head on my shoulders.
All I'm asking is this, since I haven't actually ridden it yet, as I'm sure sitting on it and riding it are different, can anyone who has one, who isn't sub 5'9" or so, tell me how it rides at your height? With or without the extension I just want some opinions.
Any help would be appreciated, I have also been looking at the Super Glide, but haven't given those too much thought as I REALLY like the Nightster.
