Hey, my name's Luke and I have a 2009 XL1200N. I'm having some trouble with it and I hope someone can help me out. I just took the baffles out of the Vance & Hines Short Shots I put on it and replaced them with torque cones. I haven't done anything else to affect the motor yet but it's skipping and backfiring a lot. Mostly between 50-60mph. I checked the plugs and they're fine with only 1,400 miles or so on them. I checked the wires too and they're fine. I took the torque cones out and that didn't fix it either. I'm going to put the baffles back in and see if that fixes the problem because before I took them out I never had a single problem with her.
Anyone else have any suggestions for me?

I had a 2002 1200, Cycle Shack slip ons, Dyno Jet kit, SE air cleaner. Even still, when it was cold outside it was still too lean. And Im not talkin North Dakota Cold, Im talkin Florida Cold. Once I raised the needle one more notch it was fine. Yours bein injected should adapt with just pipes, but if you have an aftermarket ac as well, might need a stage 1 download, or one of the various aftermarket fuel modifiers to make it right. Or it could be an intake leak. WD-40 will check that in the accepted manner.
