Been watching from the wings since Christmas of 05 when my wife surprised me with an 06, Streetbob in Black Cherry. She rode alot as a younger woman and I had ridin' small trail and dirt bikes. In October she purchased a new Honda Shadow 1100 and the day we picked it up, asked if I had ever considered riding a big bike. The answer was, "well if I intend to see you much during the nice weather months, guess I'd better consider it". Ok, the research began and especially with close friends at work. What should I look at. I managed to sit astride a black denim bob one day and the marriage was made. Wife said, "I could buy two Honda's for the price of your bike". Yup, but if I'm going to ride, two things will not happen; First, I'll not be the B--tch on Back and two, it'll be a Harley. Two months of her making nasty comments about Harleys and then on Christmas, because the scooter had not arrived, I get a Harley Bear in a box with a card announcing the pending arrival of the Black Cherry StreetBob. I now have about 1200 wonderful, fun addictive miles on the bob, and as I lay here recovering from Prostate Cancer Surgery, some new Samson Street Sweepers, SE/Stage I and SERT are about to be put on my Bob. Much of the researcy leading up to the decisions about add-ons came from monitoring the exchanges between folks on this sight, and I wanted to say thanks. I will entertain myself with hours on the forum over the next month and can't wait to get back on the scoot.
