I am introducing myself to all of the HDFORUMS members that would like to know a little about me; some of my friends call me muskey or musky. I am 56; I have lived in CT all my life. At 18 teen I bought my first motorcycle, a two year old 750 Honda, that I road for two years then sold. When I turned 22; I then bought a 1974 HD super glide, which I road also for two years then sold. Since then I have been renting or have used a friend’s bike to keep on riding. But in the last couple of years I really have wanted to get back into riding again and own my own bike. So for the last two years I have been trying to figure out what type of bike do I really want, a soft tail or a touring bike. My wife said she won’t ride at all I am on my own, but all the guys I know all ride for at lease 3 to 5 hrs at a time on weekends, and they all have tour bikes. One day at work I was going out for lunch and I saw 2009 FLHTCU a two tone “Light Candy Root Beer / Dark Candy Root Beer” I said this is the bike I want. Now I have gone to HD web page early in 2009 when you could have order this color combination, but if you ever looked at HD web page and seen this color combination it looks nothing like what you see in person. And my local HD dealer had only received two in this color combination, and I never seen them, which was because they were both order, well I know where one is. So I get on line trying to fine this bike, and I find it the same day on “Chopper Exchange” for $19,500 with 250 miles on it, I call right away and they tell me that they have sold the bike, but tell me to keep look at there web page because he believes he will get another one. So for the next two weeks I checked ever HD dealer in the US, and no one has one. So now on May 28 of this year I go to my local HD dealer ship, and I tell sell person what I am looking for, he does a search and can not find one but tells me he will keep searching, just then the head sales rep calls me over. Now I am not suppose to show this to you, but the color you want is coming out in 2011 and tonight I am placing my order so tell me which one you want. Order me the FLHTK so as of now I believe it will get here at the end of July I can’t wait.
