Default Help! Excessive vibration even after motor mounts replaced

Hey. I'm a new member. We have just purchased my brothers 1988 Harley Tour Glide Classic. It's in great shape with only 25000 miles on it. The vibration is terrible, and this big full dresser should ride smoothly!

We had the motor mounts replaced but still bad vibration. We are not happy with our local Harley repair shop, they seem clueless. Any advice on where to look online, on this forum, or anywhere else to help relieve this problem?

Thanks Linda

Welcome aboard from Biloxi Mississippi!

Harleys shake... nature of the beast - my 2008 103 does the same.

Now, if the vibration has become more pronounced over the course of 25k miles, then maybe you have some internal engine issues surfacing.

First of all they most likely got the front one to tight. And they will loosen up a little as you ride. The new mounts are stiffer then older ones.
