Well I decided to take it up to the local dealership, and long story short, I was told to keep riding. The tech didn't think it was something serious. The cam chain was fine and he didn't want to start breaking down the top end at this point. If it gets worse I'll take it back for a better inspection. Sound is in the top front and he did mention piston slapping since I was running racing cams. All in all I got a little piece of mind for 200 instead of a 1000. I can live with that for now.
