Default Hello from Wisc.

I own a 09 Night Train that I bought new.The last 2 years I've toured out to the west coast & the train treated me well.I now have over 17k. miles on the bike but I can't get more then 6k on the rear tire. I've gone through 2 Dunlops that are toast after 5.5k & a Metzeler that's ready for a change after approx. 6.5k. So,has anyone out there experenced this low milage on the rear tire of there Night Train(200/55R17)?And yes, I do check my air pressure (40psig). I've heard great things about the new Michelin Commander 2 & will probably go with a set of these. Thanks for any input...............Al
