Hi my name is William and I live in Phoenix AZ. I have a 1999 FXD with the 95 inch kit in it and I have a 2011 FLHTK.
I can't seem to fix the FXD. When it gets warmed up (about 30 to 45 min) it starts to quit and back fire. it keeps getting worse until I stop and let it cool down. It has a new TC88 Dynatek module, new CPS, new coil, new regulator, new battery, new plugs and wires, new intake flanges and seals, and the carb has been rebuilt, and I just replaced the fuel valve and screen, and a new main breaker.
I am at the end of what I can do. Has anyone had this problem and if so what did you do to make it run right.
The thing I would try first is contact the mod support line and ask if they have heard of there mod doing this. Then I would check voltage in bat if mod checks out!! Look for bad ground to, just some ideas but it seems that every time someone post like this it's n the mod maybe bad or wire not just right!!
