Hello All

My name is Andy. I left the British Army last year after 22 years service. With a bundle of the folding stuff in my pocket (courtesy of the British taxpayer)my wife and myself were visiting motorcycle stores just looking for a second hand touring bike. (Pan European preferably). On our way home we saw a Harley dealership and called in for a quick look, not intending to buy. 2 hours later we left, the owners of a 1200 custom sportster. Damn all that shiny chrome!!!! However, after a month of two up ridingwe decided that the sportster was'nt the bike for us as the suspension was'nt good enough for two up touring. While having a coffee at our local dealership and discussing what the alternative was with a salesman my wife, bless her, came over to me and said look at that one over there that's nice!! 2 days later we were the proud owners of a 06 Heritage Softail. Damn that shiny chrome!!!
Just had a thought .....I have had three bikes, the first a Suzuki GSX-R 1100, the Sportster, and the Softail. The first my wife bought for me, and the second two chosen by her as well. I know I am British but honestly I am not under the thumb, I dont think? And if Iam, let the women rule if they buy me toys like that

We have now joined the local chapter of Harley bikers, Peak Riders, and have many trips planned for this year including one to Spain.
Am having stage one and Screaming Eagles fitted tomorrow and can't wait for the ride out on Sunday.

Once I have got my act together i will post some pictures.
