i normally dont go to forums but with 6 bikes its time . i got 5 honda and one HD i just got ... now i did a 4 year restore on my GL1000 1976 .bare metal frame up .. , nice bike .. the reason i came to this site is my HD ..
it took me 10 years to get this bike from a old hippie friend ... its a old school 1946 chopper 44" springer 45 wl flat head we are not 100% sure of the year ,it was sold to me as a 48 .. but after some research it maybe a 46 singial center bare frame (not wish bone )..the bike last ran in 1971 ,, i pulled the heads and may have to change one of the pistons .. back side .. i know its a flat head ,the next step is what type . from photos i beleive its a 45WL
i am just starting this restore so dont give me a hard time ..i guess threw the years they changed some of the parts and it makes this a little hard to define just what eng it is .. i got a 467 GE 1061 on the eng case .. at frist it looked like a 67 but the 4 is faded almost gone ...anyone know this eng type ..?
