Just a note to say hello to everyone. I'm a lawyer from Louisville KY. I have a stage 2 (pistons/jugs, carb, coil/module, pipes, breather) '99 Super Glide Sport (FXDX) in diamond ice pearl (silver w/ a bit o flake) that I've had since it was new. Before that I had a '78 Iron Head Sporty.
My bike has been sitting more than moving the past few years. As my youngest is about to get out of diapers, I'm planning on doing a lot more riding!
I was thinking about getting a new bike, but I like this one so much, I think I'll just make a few changes to freshen it up. As an FXDX with a black motor and case and a fair amount of black trim, I'm going to make it blacker. I'm starting by swapping the chrome stock pipes (drilled) with a ceramic black Bassani 2 into 1 and powder coating the Thunderstars.
It needs tires too. I'm going with Metzlers.
I'll put up some pics before and after.
