Not a big guy so got myself a 2007 883. I am in the US right now and the previous owner had installed performance filter and s&s exhaust, but it really runs like crap . . .

Have a chinese 200cc bike to run errands but not good for long distances.

I have been recommended to use Technoresearch DirectLink flash, is that something I can do or a shop has to do.

I am a total newbie to HD bikes, I come from Japanese Enduro or 125cc "messenger" bikes and my 200cc chinise Motard style thing . . .

Can anyone tell me if the directlink is good, need to do something with the bike while in the US before shipping to Panama . . .
