Well my wife and I just picked up our first Harley on Sunday. Went in to the dealer for an open house and to try to win a free bike. atleast that was my intention. my wife went in fully intending to buy a bike if we didn't win one. ended up getting a '14 883 Iron in denim black. I would have rather had a fat bob, but this fit in the budget and it's her first bike so needed something we could both handle. I've been riding for 11 years on sportbikes/streetfighters and have owned several (87 fz600, 85 vf700 interceptor, 04 sv650, 04 gsxr600, 03 z1000). switching over to a hd will take some getting used to for me so i can keep from scrapping through the turns. got to ride the bike home from the dealer and took it out for a bit sunday night to just cruise around. not a bad bike so far, but i would def like to do the 1200 conversion at some point when she gets some more experience. right now we're looking for a passenger seat and rear pegs so she can ride with me until she can take the msf course and get her license. also gonna put some stripes down the fenders and tank for her and possibly black out the pipes with heat paint until we can get other pipes for it.
