Default Recommendation for a wheel bearing puller / removel tool

Hello,

can anyone recommend me a decent bearing tool for removal and installation of wheel bearings? I have searched the forum, but didn't find anything conclusive. It is for private use, so definitely no daily application...

Thanks already and best regards, niv

I've wondered about buying a press myself and doing them all.

I'm a fan of the tools from George's Garage. I do own their wheel bearing tool among a number of their other HD specialty tools. Unfortunately, it looks like their wheel bearing tool is temporarily out of stock.

Pit Posse. AutoZone or similar also lends these types of tools typically (varies by store).

Thanks a lot! I bought something that looks like the Pit Posse kit from amazon, but around half the price. Hope it'll do the same job...

The only issues I've heard with the cheaper kits is that the threads don't hold up to the amount of force needed to install bearings, the remover part is poorly sized, and the washers (if it comes with washers) are paper thin and bend very easily.

I'll keep you posted on how it performs. As it is not that much cheaper, at least when comparing some other china-vs-domestic price differences, I am hoping to get the same thing...

They also don't come with a NICE thrust Bearing.
