The only advice I can offer is that having owned Harleys for over 40 years I always go back to Avons! All three of my V-twins are on them at present, Cobras or Storms as appropriate - even our campervan (well, not on Cobras obviously)!

Between the Avon and the Michelin mentioned, go with the Avon if you prioritize grip over tread life, and vice versa for the Michelin. I am not saying the Michelin does not have good grip, it is just not on the same level as the Avon. I run Avon Cobra/Cobra Chromes on all my Harleys and absolutely love them...

Once I tried Avons, I wouldn't use anything else. I don't even look at prices among brands, just find the best deal I can get on Avons from a major dealer like Dennis Kirk that does enough business you almost always get a tire made recently, not one that's been sitting in a dealer storeroom for a few years. There must be some businesses like that in your country. Tires and wheel bearings are the most important parts on a motorcycle to me, no cheap ebay bearings (or OEM any more) and traction over long life for tires. Avon traction and handling is superb, and if there are any slightly better, I'll miss out because I'm not taking a chance of getting less than I'm used to.

I know money is important, and for folks that have to take the bike to a dealer for tire changes, I know tire life is more important than it is to me, I change my own so all it costs me is just the tire, and that can be less than the labor at some dealers. I won't criticize people that do that, just feel fortunate I don't have to.
