Default Michelin Commander II on Fat Boy

OK please share your experiences with Michelin Commander II tires on late model FLSTF. Mostly what kind of mileage are your getting with the Michelin Commander II 200/55R17 rear tires. Also how is performance as compared to the stock Dunlops?
Michelin claims nearly twice the mileage as the competitors.
I am thinking about buying a new Fat Boy and if I can only expect 7000 miles on a rear tire I may change my mind, as I average 1000 or more miles a month
Thanks

So for on our 07 Heritage,, the claim is total BS...

On my first (4) rear Lops 401 I have gotten 10+k on them.. So far at 3k the Commander II is 1/3 worn out... Meaning is wont last another 6K before it gets to 2/32 tread left, witch is (overall 9K).. Which is the replacement point..

I do like the tire but in the 150-16 size, it wont wear 2X as long as the LOPs....

it may be better on Ur 200 size tire,, if so U may like it..

Its just I won't be buying it for my Hertiage anymore..

I have Michelin Commander II on the front and will put one on the rear when needed. Smooth riding and excellent for rain riding. would recommend IMOP

I've got a little over 9000 on the commander IIs on my Fat Boy Lo. I'm thinking they'll go at least another 2 or 3 easy before I start thinking about replacing them. I don't wait for a tire to go bald either so someone else might be able to get more. As far as performance they do well in the rain and don't follow the grooves or tar snakes as bad as the stock tires did.

Thanks this is just the kind of info. I am looking for.
BTW can you tell me what kind of mileage you got on the stock Dunlops?

My stock dunlop rear only lasted 4500ish miles. My commander 2s have 7000 miles and the rear isnt even half way worn yet. Font still looks brand new. 2012 fatboy lo

I have a little over 6000 miles on my 2010 Fat Boy and it needs replaced. I don't know how some are getting 9 or 10K out of theirs. I do run 42 psi ( no two up) and I think that might be the wear problem since its the center wearing. I'm going with Dunlop 401's next time.

Which tires do you have on it now?

I got about 6500 out of my first Commander II's, just slightly better than the Dunlops.I'm on my second set now because I like the way they ride and are cheaper. Only other problem I've found is that the front wears out at about the same time as the rear. This is on a 2011 Fatboy. That 200 seems to wear fast!
