Default Front brake caliper

Need to rebuilt the front brake caliper. Its leaking. How do I remove the the pistons? There is 4 of them. I tried air preassure which poped one the pistons. But cant get the rest of them.

Independnat aftermarket shops often end up with a bunch of calipers as take-offs. There's a guy around here that'll sell them for like $50

I don't know what they are called, but the are basically reverse pliers--you squeeze and the jaws open. and have knurled outer edges. Insert them closed into the piston, squeeze so the knurled outer edges press against the inside surface of the piston, and pull the piston out. These worked well for me since any scoring of the inside of the piston won't effect it's seal or performance.

Thats easy, when the one piston comes out remove the piston seal and reinstall the piston, then hold that piston in place being careful not to injure your fingers (maybe use a block of wood) then blow out the next piston and repeat for the remaining pistons. This works and sometimes requires a little more air pressure than feels comfortable so use rags to cushion the pistons as they come out.
