Default bleeding front brake

Little trick that worked for me, thought it might help someone else. Was trying to bleed the front brake on my 07 Deuce after rebuilding the master cylinder, and nothing was working. I tried a power bleeder, then the mity-vac, then reverse bleeding, and finally using the tube and bag trick hung the same height as the reservoir. Nothing worked.

I finally removed the caliper, turned it upside down, such that the bleeder screw was below the input line. Tapped on the caliper with a plastic screwdriver handle while slowly rotating it back upright. The thought was that I could work any air bubbles up and out this way. Next I tipped the bike as far left as I could so that the line crossing from the right to the left side (below the triple clamp) was sloped upwards. Started tapping the lines up from the caliper, and by the time I got to the junction of the rubber and metal lines, I heard two bubbles pop in the reservoir. Did the trick, and I finally have full front brakes.

Hope this might help someone out.

Frank
