… up on top of Kooteney Pass… As you can see, fresh snow up here… You can still get trapped in it this time of the year if you’re not careful… The road was bare & dry, but it supposed to rain this week… And I have chained up to get over this mountain pass in May and June… Caution still needs to be in-play for early in the year touring

I would run it counter clockwise, as that is the best way to ride on the PCH, as the view is in front of you and to the right... also, the viewpoints are all to the right side of the road, so you don't have to cross traffice to get to them... as to the Desert Run up... I have never done the vast majority of those roads heading in that direction
