Directions with the new voltage regulator indicates that no matter how the old regulator was connected (to the copper stud) this new regulator must be connected to the silver stud. My old regultor was connected to the silver stud.

Here I am getting ready to re-tighten the two hex head mounting bolts and center bolt. Recall that it is recommended that you do not adjust the tie-rod from the motor mount to the frame.

This picture is taken after I rode the bike after loosening the two Alloy Art provided hex head bolts and the stock Harley bolt. The isolator seemed to have found its "sweet" spot to the left side of the bike's mounting bracket.
