Never rode my FXDB with the stock 96", but before I took delivery I had the Big Bore 103" kit installed with Rush pipes and it ran like a raped ape and sounded freakin' awesome. I rode it for 89 miles until I decided I wanted something bigger.
Hi,anyone done the upgrade on an 07 96" to 103".If so was it worth it.
I have not, but I have read the 103 is your better bet than the 110 'cause the shaft bearings blo at 110"
No joke! I have had multiple head gasket leaks (rear jug) and now a horrible vibration in the engine (crankshaft out of tolerance). Wow, 980 miles on the clock and there will be a new engine replaced under warranty this spring!
Oh YEAH! Its worth it. See Trey at Brians and tell him you want Jim Zeeks 103 setup. Where you located? I'm in 18922 (Buckingham). You can come over and check mine out.
Morning Tnbrit from Canada. Ordered my '07 Bob with 103", more aggressive cams and SERT off the shelf....and was advised to get heads ported & polished to get H.P. out of it.With headworkit makes 100+ HP/TQ & just about jerks me off the bike when shifting up into 2nd, & 3rd.Never got to max RPM in 4th because it's already pushing 90MPH in 3rd at around 6000 RPM. Talk about power for passing too...at any speed you can hang onto. Not sure ifthe 103" without headwork isworth it....but get lots of air into that sucker & it rises up on its hind legs and runs!
