Tested: D&D FatCat Quiet Baffle vs. Std Baffle
I recently finished some testing of the new FatCat Quiet Baffle vs. the Standard Baffle, for D&D. The following is brief excerpt from my write-up for D&D. The dyno sheets are attached, as well.
*Yes, I know the 100% run has slightly lower HP & TQ peaks than my recently posted numbers, but I "outsmarted myself" ~ again! In an effort to squeak out a little more from my build, I tweaked the timing settings for 100% TP thinking that I'd "get a little more".... NOPE... Doug was right. Should's never 2nd guessed it.... but ya never know till ya try. Nonetheless, all baffle testing was done without changing any tuning parameters or values, so that is irrelevant for purposes of this test.
There is a good bit more in what I returned to D&D, but this summary will answers some of the questions people have regarding the new Quiet Baffle(s).

Test Procedure
With the test bike at normal operating temperature, several "baseline" runs were made, using the Standard Baffle. Data, including Horsepower, Torque, and Air/Fuel Ratio, were captured at various percentages of throttle utilization. The percentages were: 100%, 80%, 60%, and 40%.
No tuning changes were made, and the Standard Baffle was replaced with the Quiet Baffle. The bike was brought back to normal operating temperature and the runs and data collection were duplicated.
The results are in the following Dyno Charts. In all cases, the runs using the Standard Baffle are shown in BLUE and the runs made with the Quiet Baffle are shown in RED.

Conclusion
· The Quiet baffle produced slightly higher Peak Horsepower numbers in all tests
· The Quiet baffle produced higher Peak Torque numbers in 50% of the tests
· The Air / Fuel Ratio, with no tuning changes, was acceptable when replacing a Standard FatCat baffle. However, in all tests, slight performance gains are available with some additional tuning.
· The Quiet Baffle is noticeably quieter than the Standard Baffle, especially at higher RPM’s. The general tone and sound remain the same.

I was waiting for it to show up on the D&D site, but since folks are asking.....
I thought it would out TQ the STD baffle but NEVER thought it would out HOSS it[sm=confused06.gif]I vote in light of superior performance the quiet baffle forever on be refered to as the**** STEALTH BAFFLE**** you know walk quietly and carry a big stick [sm=lol.gif]besides it sounds better, are you listeningD&D
