Did it yesterday evening. I like it. I like the looks, like the ride, like the handling, and especially like the new seat height and the lower center of gravity. Between that and the tank lift, it feels like a whole different bike for the better.

Heavy duty or regular? Looks nice. While I'm asking questions, whatheight tank lift did you go with?

My 11" shocks should be here today, and I'm about to go finish my tank lift today as well.

2 inch tank lift was all I could get due to the riser I've got on it. If I went any higher, the tank would hit the speedo. As it is, I had to replace the rubber riser mounts wiht the poly ones, and shim the riser up a bit while I was at it, just to get the two inch lift in there.

Regular shocks, not the heavy duty. I weigh in at about 195-200, so I figured the HD's would be way too stiff for me. .

Amazing the difference. Really is. They should come like this from the factory.

In this pic here you can see how close it is between the tank and riser.

All I need to do now is get that stupid trim thing off the battery cover and do something else there, and get those front turn signal stems cut down. I hate the MoCo's relocation kit for those front turn signals. Retarded looking. That's one thing I wouldn't buy if I had it to do over again.

Looks like you do some two-up riding. Let me know how you and she likeit together.

My Low Rider is stiff alone (160 lbs) but with the wifey's 110 lbs. it's better.

BTW. They look much better.

How much did it lower the bike?

I used the Kuryakyn relocate kit and we mounted them right UNDER the bottom tree, we really tried hard and could not get them to hit You will have to look in their book, I'm real bad about part no..as for the rear I went with the shorter stalks off of the 06-07 dyna custom, , moved them in closer to the fender and it looks ok there..been thinking of the Progressives for the rear myself, want to get a softer ride, my back is killing me on this thing..

where'dya get that fork bag?
The fork bag came from a local indy. It was buried behind a stack of the cheesy ones (you know, the frilly ones with all the little corny cheap conchos), and it was covered with dust. He said he didn't know where it came from, couldn't replace it, and sold it cheap. The only markings anywhere on it is "made in usa" stamped in the back of it.

I've never seen another like it. I've been bugging him to find me a small to medium matching color roll bag to go on the luggage rack for short day rides, but as of yet, no luck. If anybody knows a source for a roll back in that color, I'd sure appreciate the info.

Nach, the shocks are 11 inch 412 progressives.

Gamma 742, I'd say it really lowered it a good couple inches. The shocks are only one and a half inches shorter than stock, but figure in the frame geometry, and I think it lowered it considerably more than that.

I managed to get in a couple hundred miles this afternoon, and I'm pleased with it. I really wouldn't call the ride quality a sacrifice type thing at all. More like a trade than a sacrifice. The overall ride on average road is a definite improvement. Like super smooth, but it is a bit sharper on the occasional major bump like pavement transfers. Has to be a pretty good bang for it to get very sharp though. The handling is a big improvement, and I really like the lower seat height and center of gravity.

I've still got a couple of things to work out. Lowering the seat height put the top of the windshield right in my line of site so I've either got to cut it down, or something, and I need to adjust the headlight as it is pointing too high now.
