'07 Sportster VSS (Speed Sensor) Location?
I was riding down the road and suddenly my speedometer stopped working. It would hover around 20 mph (although I was going about 60). It seemed like at low speeds, it would work a little better. After a while, it stopped registering speed at all. I looked the bike up and down to see if something was loose, and I started it again and it seemed to be ok (didn't go over 30 though).
Looked through the forum, and it looks like I need to clean the VSS. The forum also told me my turn signals weren't auto turning off which I didn't really think was related, but I do remember now needing to turn them off. I would assume I don't need to replace it since the bike only has 2,100 miles on it.
Should be a simple repair for someone with a maintenance manual, but I don't have one. Thanks if anyone can help me out. Any ideas on how this could have happened on such a new bike will be nice too.
