the rear wheel wanders(goes on its own). keep hearing sbout this true track but can't find anyone with it. Is itall the site says it is?! or better yet worth the money?
Have not bought a solution yet. This is a thread about the article in American Rider by B. Buzzelli. Not everyone believes in the validity of a mechanical solution. Do the research, also search Road King Wobble where you can. I'm looking at Ridestr8.
I believe if things are together right in the swing arm area, there should be very little if any wobble. My Road King has been in the triple digit speeds many times,(you did not here this from me)it is steady as a rock. But,there are several Co. offering cures for that very problem.Make sure your alignment is right.
dog, you believe wrong...i've ridden several with wobble, all new..youre right, they shouldnt...but do....i run a true track and it was 400 well spent...it works, stops the walkin, & is real easy to put on...ridestr8 does too....buy one
Right arm, Bryan! Some of these folks think that just because they don't have a problem while going fast in a straight line, there is no issue. Try a sweeper...............then you'll understand.
thanks guys. I'm doing a lil research now. I was looking at the true track but notice it had a full kit for the engine mounts as well. any experience with those. Thanks to all. I love this forum!!
I have used a Velva Mount on the front of the wife's trike. There are significant torsion woes on the01 and earlier Touring bike conversions. We had an upperlink re-inforcement fail and the frame lug for the Upper Heim joint snapped offffffff and ripped the front engine mount. A cleve bloc failure is (a different feel). I upgraded to the Velva mount. It is a polyurethane (I think) mount. Good stuff.
A good front mount should help the overall isolator system, imo. The solid Cleve Bloc replacements might transfer vibe.
Actually Brian,I did buy a STA BO for the new Hot Rod that is going together this winter. Not taking any chances with this one. After putting the 02 together I can see where there could be problems. If it wobbles take it apart and fix it,riding with confidence is the only way to go.

Jonah,
I personally dont have any experience with the true track, I choose to go the other route with the Ride Str8 unit...
Now with this said "I seem to remember that with the additional bushings that goes into the rear swing arm that it gave a stiffer ride as compared to the stock set up and it seemed the guys that put them in wasn't expecting such a stiff ride if any...
You might want to look at the STA BO bushings like dog has put in his rod and consider them
I think I'm going to look at them as well after I put or before I put the Ride Str8 unit in...
