If anybody has trouble with loading the update to their radio try copying the file at 48x. The directions call for 8x or slower but I couldn't get it to complete the load.
Thanks to Bountyhunter a couple weeks ago. He had a post on an update and told me he copied at max speed.

OK, I bought my 06 Ultra last May. I keep seeing these update posts but I've never had any problems with my radio, CB, intercom at all. Are the updates just to address sporadic problems, like Microsofts patches. I never take my bike to the dealer so it's not gotten any updates since I bought it.

I've got 8.18 now and the random-source start-up problem has been corrected. It also sounds better with less distortion. Can't find any faults, so I'll wait and watch before upgrading to 8.19. Hope to get feedback from everyone who's done it.
