Default Solo seat recommendations please

Guys and Gals.

I have the bike setup pictured in my signature block pic. Its a 96 XL1200S. I have a Goldwing for when my wife and daughter want to ride with me, so I'm willing to give up (at least most of the time) the passenger seat. To get to the 'classic' picture of what I think a Sportster should really look like, I want to replace my touring seat with a solo seat. This one is a one-piece, so it has to come off for a solo solution.

Can you guys and gals give recommendations on a solo seat that would be comfortable for more than a short ride? I'm not a candy-azz, but would rather not have a two-by-four to sit on either.

Any testimonials anybody can offer, good or bad?

Thanks!

p.s. I need to learn how to photoshop so I can make a "here's what I want it to look like" pic... anybody got any skills in that area?

Many of us have the mustang vintage (std. or wide) for solo ridingas it's very comfortable and looks decent, you could also throw on a pillion for 2 up riding if need be. I have the narrow as I prefer the looks of it over the wide. It's pictured in my gallery both with and without the pillion on.

I also have the Mustang Vintage Standard Studded Solo seat and I find it very comfortable for short and long (350+ mile) rides. WAY more comfortable than stock, and looks great too! Sorry I don't have a current picture with it on...

I agree Mustang Vintage solo..either regular or wide depending on your personal situation

I bought one last year that was incorrectly listed as supporting 04's+ but that was when the 07's were brand new and the design didn't have a cutout for the 2007 ECM placement under the seat.

I sent Mustang some photos of the cutout since the bike was so new to the market and their sales manager was nice enough to send me a personal letter and hat for my return troubles.

I plan on upgrading to a Mustang soon now that they support the 07s.

Just sent you an email of my sporty with a corbin hollywood solo. I find the mustang seats that hubby loves are just too wide for my short legs. My seat is shaved down but still comfy to me.
