Glide handlebar comparison Stock - Wild1 575 - HD Pullback
The top bar is the stock one.
The Middle bar is the Wild1 Chubby Bagger Bars (575) that everyone is so fond of (for good reason).
The bottom one is the 40 Dollar Harley Pullback Touring bars, that I tried to get off cheap with.
Just a note:
The HD bars are just way to narrow, hurt my wrists with the akward angle they are set at, and they were on my bike for less than a week....
Not much to discuss, just thought this might help someone down the line...

The stock bars seem to me to have been designed by a person with narrow shoulders or something.
If I ride with my elbows dropped all the way , they're almost comfortable.
The chubbies look like the designer actually rode the bike afterwards and corrected the wrist angle from the stock angle.
The Harley pullback bars look kind of hideous from a comfort standpoint (wrist angle).
Thanks for the pic.

What is this about a Handlebar recall...???
and is the part you mention for the '07 install or the earlier models?
Also wondering if the stock cables will continue to work....
thanks all

If you have the bars still, you should also snap a picture of them standing straight up from a side view for a good height/pull back comparison.
I just put the bagger bars on my SG and love the feel of them!

The bars cost 158.00 I think, I got a blem set directly from Wild1 http://wild1inc.com/specials.html
The blems usually have some sort of chrome imperfection. On mine it was on in the center of the bar which is covered and inside the Batwing fairing.
If you go to buy a set of blems, they will tell you exactly where the imperfection is (usually hidden).. so it's not a pot luck thing. They don't sell jacked up bars...
I used all my factory cables. I will replace the clutch and brake one day though. They are pretty tight.
To make my factory clutch work, I had to reroute the cable. The cable still goes through the hole in the fairing like it should, but takes a different route inside the fairing. You know it makes a big loop around the back side of the gauges and such, I just had to move it around until I got enough slack.
The brake line will fit, looks like hell, but will work as long as you more or less bend it straight.
Again, when I find black brake line and black clutch cable 2-4 inches longer I will replace them. I'm going fora black theme and don't want silver braided lines.
We have all heard these Wild1 575 bars block some of the view in the SG mirrors. Well here is a picture of that.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do, I might get some of those new kuryakyn mirrors that are somewhat extended, made specifically for the SG. They fairing mount like I want them to.
Pardon the blurry pics..
