I just picked up my 07 wide glide around a month ago and am now looking to change my exhaust and add a tuner and a/c...I'm pretty set on either the V&H BSS or the big radius w/o baffles and a big sucker a/c...but even after searching this site for older posts on the best choice of tuner, im stuck...I'd like to hear feedback on what works for you and hopefully from someone with the same mods as I'm planning...
This is a great site and I've already gained some good information for far...Thank you...
MAn your trying to start a war again lol. This topic has been covered 100's of times through out the forum you might want to search for it. If you find what you need please erase this before it all starts again lol. Good luck

Like I said in the above post, I tried searching this site, but keep finding conflicting reviews, so I was hoping I could find some help...If it's a problem, I'll have the thread deleted.
I'm not saying its a problem per say. But everytime this topic gets brought up someone getsd they're feelings hurt. its just all about opinions. My advice is to talk to whoever yor goingto hae tune it and they will know what they tune best with. Just my 0.02
I think what steelcowboy is getting at is that ultimately its just personal preference. I know guys that swear by HD products. Anything else is crap. I also know guys that say the PCIII is the only way to go. That's why you're finding conflicting reviews. Read up and make a decision based on what you agree with most. If all else fails talk to an indy mechanic. I've always found that they're the best at cutting through the crap and shooting you straight.
I was in the same "boat" a month ago. Through much research I decided on a SERT. No addon unit like the PCIII, no total replacment of the ECU like Thunder Max A/T. Just plug into the dianostic plug and flash the ECU. I've always done my own tuning though, and as a Mercedes Benz technician I alsoknow my way around fuel injection. If your going to have someone tune your bike for you, ask for advise on what unit to get.
Steelcowboy gave you good advice... Talk to your Tuner, make sure there Dyno is up to date. And what theTech feels he has gotten the best results using. The less time he spends, the better it is for your wallet... Ichose the SERT. He Installs them all day long 6 days a week, knows them inside and out..
i have a both the pc3 and the fuel pak for my 07 dyna. I wish i had waited and bought the SERT: itwasn't available for2 or 3months when i bought my bike(assuming they are available even now). the cost of the SERT is rediculous, but in the end, about the same amount as i have invested into the other 2 controllers. live and learn.
if you expect to do any future modifications beyond just air cleaner and exhaust: cam, pistons, heads, whatever, youll need the SERT or PC3 (or that thundermax, $ch-ching$). if you are leaving the motor alone, the fuelpak will work fine and save you some cashola.
