theres alot of peeps that lowered rear with 412's. pros: 10 times better ride than harley shocks (my opinion)
cons: none for me, if you are heavier or ride 2 up alot get the heavy duty 412's. couple of guys have lowered the front also, do a search
or maybe they will post here.

here's the Progessive 11' black 412 hd.....great two up riding.
just need to find a compromise for one up and two up....easy enough to adjust.

Silly question here........ What are the advantages of lowering? Is it a "looks" thing or does it improve handling / ride in some way?

I put progressive 418 11.5" shocks on the rear of my lowrider. Only lowered a bit from the stock shocks but the ride and handling improved dramatically over the Harley shocks.
