so this winter i am thinking of getting a set of clip on bars for my bob and putting back on the mid controls? has anyone done this and/or seen it done. I just want a change and this would be a total change! i would also be able to lower the bike much more not having to worry about the front controls scraping! this is my little photo shop of what it would look like... TANK LIFT WOULD BE A MUST just for stronger lines! but what do you think! i dropped the front as well in the photo shop!
I believe haksaw is correct - you are going to have serious clearance issues with the tank.
You are also going to have to slide the forks up in the triple trees so there is some tube to clip on to.
This by itself is not an issue, but it lowers the front, affecting the trail.
You will need to lower the back proportionally - but - I guess most Bob owners have already lowered the back

i really wanted that look but i ride too much and thought it would be uncomfortable. so i just put drag bars on with the shortest risers possible.
and mid controls are always better
