side mount license plate ?

side mount license plate ?
Im having a REAL hard time finding a vertical side mount license plate bracket WITHOUT a brake light !! I have a 06 Softail and after I lowered it my original plate rubs the rear tire. I dont want to remove the original brake light (I think it looks stupid without it).. so I need something without a light....also I would prefer not to have one that is part of the derby cover (Im afraid if I ever hit it on something serious damage would result) Any ideas would be awesome !!!!!!!!! Thanks

i think this is what u are looking for simple and clean. now i hope we can get the photo on this below.
o well couldn't get a photo its a stainless side mount vertical plate holder no lite. if u send a e-mail offline i think i can send a photo. its in adobe and would not post.

I went to Kustomwerks website and saw the flat one with no light, I would prefer a radius style but if all else fails it would be a good option...I like this one that fits a Victory (scroll down to the second one next to the black version) but dont know if I could drill it out to fit ?

that kustomwerks bracket is real nice and american made from stainless. we had the imported copy and those were cracking. there is a fabrictor around here that was making the curved one but there must be a local that can make that. we are in ny and he made them one up for the bike builds.

I have a 2006 Softail and had the same thoughts you have so, I got mine at Pro One and did a little modification real easy to do!
I also got rid of the taillight and bought a real piece of work from Joker Machine its the hottest light on the market for the 200 mm rear.
Ok all you need to do is cut off the bottom bolt hole and cut it close to where there is no hole left reshape the bracket and drill a hole for the lower belt gaurd. I had it rechromed but if you polish it right it will not be needed! And for the Taillight you can buy just the light and the mounting bracket from Joker without the plate bracket. But I bought the whole unit! and the very well made licence braket it bolted on and removable....its very nice!

I have the Joker Machine side mout without the brake light. It is awsome! Pricey, but you get a really good part. They have great customer service to boot. They make it both ways with and without. Here are a few pics.
