Default Kuryakyn adjustable passenger pegs

Purchased and installed a set of Kuryakyn adjustable passenger pegs - wife likes them. After a 160 mile ride today I noticed that the left side peg was coming loose. The 7/16" bolt on the inside had come loose. I took both of them off and used some locktite blue to keep it slug. If the bolt is too tight the pegs are hard to adjust. Anyone else have a similar problem?

I just "over tightened" my 1/2" bolt on my new Kuryakyn highway pegs and stripped it out, so I had to tap it out to 9/16" to fix it. So becarefull when you are tightening them down. Bryan

My wife loves them too. Moved them over from the 02 to the 07. A word of caution though, don't let her stand on the peg with her full weight, especially at the very end of the peg. It will break. Made from pot metal.

No problem here, had them on the bike for over 10,000 miles.

Kuryakyn says not to stand on the pegs.

I rented a Road King two weeks ago on vacation and it had those adjustable foot pegs. The left bolt rotated out and I lost the foot part on the interstate.

Make sure that when you installed them that the plastic busing is properly mated to adjustable peg bracket. I just did a service on my Dad's EGC and he has these. When I tried to reinstall them, I didn't notice the little busing had dropped off. It made them feel like they weren't tight enough on the bike. When I found and replaced the bushing, they snugged up much better, although I did hear some stress from the metal as I tightened them down good. I made sure not to overtighten them when I could hear the metal stressing.

I had the same problem when I first installed mine, if you remove the boltthe chrome plate under it should have two tangs on it to keep it from rotating when you adjust the pegs, if they are broke off the bolt will turn and every time you adjust the position the bolt will come loose, mine did this and I called kuryakyn and they shipped me a repair kit and it fixed the problem.

I believe the right side is the problem, same problem with 2 into 1, Kuryakyn sells an extended passanger floorboard bracket to solve the problem.
