May I ask what seat you bought? I have tried all of the HD seats with rider backrests including the non backrest Sundowner. The stock is about the most comfortable if it only had a back rest it would be perfect.
I have not found a solution. I am also going back to stock for now. I find that the stock seat fits my butt and puts me in the right position. I get butt burn on the stock seat though after about an hour, and I was really wanting a backrest. Every solution I have tried so far moves me forward, and that is uncomfortable for me.
<update>I put some miles on the stock seat and was reminded right away why I went on this journey to find a seat. pain in the lower back. I was able to adjust the cruise arms a bit to stretch my legs and adjust my position, I've decided to keep the Ultimate
