OK I've already tried the search feature and I've been all over ebay for at least an hour. What I'm looking for is a solo seat that will look better than stock.I'm looking for something either lower and smaller or just more "old School" than the stock unit.I've seen those "chopper/bobber" seats on Ebay but I'd like to see one on a bike.
The mustang vintage solo is probably "old school" (depending on how you define it).
They're not really small. The wide (which is on my Bob) is pretty hefty and the standard (which is on my wife's Lowrider) is still slightly wider than stock at the back. Both are narrower than stock in the front though.
They're very comfortable, if that's a factor (the wide even has a removable backrest option). I love 'em.
This seat sits me a good inch ortwo lower and an inch ortwo back as well. The bike feels much more like a low-slung rider now which is exactly what I was hoping to acheive with the seat. I feel more "in" the bike now.
It is not built for comfort, but I can certianly do a good hour or so of riding without stopping. I haven't goneon any rides longer than an hour since installing the seat and therefor can't speak for its comfort on extended rides. I can tell you that I don'tfind it to beas uncomfortable as some have described it however.
You might consider the HD Brawler also, itlooks awesome too, might be more what your looking for as far as 'old school'.
