Haulen *** is currently evaluating the need for a Haulen *** backrest that fits Fat Boys and the new Fat Bob. Due to the backrest size and clearance of the passenger seat, the factory Fat Boy seat would have to be replaced with a lower profile seat. We would love to hear some feed back whether people would be interested.
I am one of those who was asking for your style of backrest. I wanted something that would only be on the bike a few times a year. As you can see from my link and photo I like to keep the Fatboy look. I dont think I would want to buy another pinion seat just for the few times I would need a backrest. What I think would be cool is if you had a pinion seat backrest all in one that attaches like the pinion seat does.
I would be interested as well. During spring the FB will be a daily driver but when my wife wants to go for a put I dont wan tto have to spend an hour changing seats. A detachable seat and backrest combo would be perfect

We thought about making a taller bar however to keep our simple design we cant go much higher or else you would see them flexing, which is no good. Appreciate the feed back though, was hoping to see more activity in here.
Just to let you guys know that we found our FXD backrest also Fits the Fat Bob. We also found what we have to do to accomidate the Fat Boy and that should be available in no time.

an hour?? I routinely change between the stock Fat Boy seat w/passenger seat, just the rider's seat and a Sidekick-style seat, and it never takes me more than 5 minutes to do the swap. 10 minutes if I take off the backrest.
