Preface: I’m planning a trip across the US in our motorhome towing my ’07 SG in an enclosed trailer. I’ll be installing a Condor wheel chock I purchased on eBay and will be utilizing the PowerTye Big Daddy’s tie downs with the soft-tie.
Question: For you SG owners out there, what/where do I attach the tie downs to? Condor suggests that only two tie downs are required. I’m figuring the rear passenger peg mount but the angle they’re attached to the frame doesn’t look like it will work.
I trailered mine across country this summer. I have the e-track so the trailer is flexible on tie down positions. I put two tie downs lightly on the handlebars just to slightly compress the shocks (don't over compress or pull to hard on the handlebars). Two tie downs on the crash bar above the highway pegs and two more on saddle bags support rails. Total overkill but it wasn't going anywhere Two straps would probably be fine and four would be even better in case of a strap failure. So I figure I have six so I will use them. BTW I use quality 2" ratchet straps with soft loops.
Greetings folks, I also use a Condor Chock. I had a Fat Boy until recently (Fat Boy was easy to secure) and I always used 4 ratchett straps and soft loops (2 on the handle bars and 2 to the passenger pegs). I had the Condor in a Toy Box Travel Trailer and I had never mounted it to the floor. On the home from Biketoberfest this year some how the straps loosened up an the bike was leaning to the side and the Condor/Fatboy was about 2 feet in front of where I had secured it.. The bike never came out of the Condor Chock or fell. I have since bought a 08 FLHX and mounted the Condor to the TT's floor. I had to take my bike to the Dealership today and used TT to transport it. I wrapped the soft ties around each side of the frame tube just below the neck and then I flipped them over the crash bar. I used ratchett straps and attached 1 to each soft tie and then to the floor. I used the passenger foot peg stems and attached another set of soft ties to them and ratchett straps to the floor (just for security). This worked out well for me. It has been challenging to find places on this bike to use as a tie down spot. This is also something to consider http://www.robertsprod.com/ I am looking into getting one of these. I've never used the handlebars as a mount point as I've been told you can over do it or hit a big bump during transportand bend the handlebars... never seen it though, just heard.
Stay off the handlebars, you are only asking for trouble there. I don't compress the front shocks, I let it ride its own suspension. I drain the air from the rear shocks, place a wooden block(s) under the cross brace and gently snug the bike down onto the block(s) with ratchet straps attached to the passenger footboard brackets. All strap pressure is pulling forward into my wheel chock.

IMO when you tie it down you should not have straps pulling forward and backwards at the same time.....if the rear straps come loose then there is nothing to keep the bike from going forward and vice versa......try to pull as straight down as possible on all straps. You should use this same practice when tieinganything.
I have the HD saddlebag guard on my 07 FLHX. My trailer is an enclosed Wells Cargo, and I have the Condor chocks (anchored to the floor). I use 4 ratchet straps to anchor the bike. The straps are attached to D-rings in the floor. I put a strap on each side at the lower outside bend of the crash bar, and those straps pull the bike forward and down into the chock. In the rear, I attach the straps on each side to the lower outside bend of the saddlebag guard. I've never had the straps loosen or the bike move.
