Whatcha all think who offers the most bang for the seat buck, quality, comfort, and back supportfor our beloved softails, of these 3,
Corbin, Lepera, or HD Sundowner, and gel or no?
I don't know about those seats but I did get a Mustang seat for my 07 Heritage Classic. Only problem was I ordered the touring model which is one piece front and back and it was gigantic. When my wife put her buns on the rear I was pushed up on top of the gas tank. I've sent that monster back and am getting the two piece the large pillion for her and the smaller regular one for me.
The two days I used it though were comfortable, it felt reall good. They have memory foam and not gel and if you ask one guy he'll tell you gel is best and the next guy says memory foam. All these guys have good return policies which cost you extra shipping but to me it's worth the wait for comfort
I dunno really...gel seats/inserts aredefinitely comfortable but the one (and only one) gel seat that I've set onjustfelt alittle too rubbery/spongy for my taste(this coming from a guy who rides aBadlander 90% of the time)...maybe if I gavea gel seata little road time I'd think different...out of the three choices I chose the Corbin because I know LePeras are a little on the hardside (AGAIN coming from a guy who rides a Badlander) and I just don'tcare forthe looks/feel of theHDSundowner...for the longerrides (200 miles or better)Iswapover toa Mustang vintage 2-up and can't complain...granted it's not the best looking saddle out there butit IScomfortable [sm=smiley20.gif]

Why no gel? Doesn't it look the same but more comfy?

Out of those three, I'd go with the no-gel Corbin.
I put the Sundowner on my Heritage. The lower back support for the rider is great, I have lower back problems & blown discs and this seat did the trick for me. This seat is not as padded as the stock Heritage seat but does not seem to make that much of a difference due to the new angle it sits you at. The passenger seat on the Sundowner is alot more padded than stock and a little wider.
I have a Lepera and a Mustang and a Corbin Hollywood solo... I can ride the Corbin 600 700 in a day no problem, Mustang is very comfortable also but it sit's me forward and up a couple inches.. Lepera has Gel and is good for a couple hours... I Love the Corbin
