Default What did you pay for your 2008 Street Glide?

I'm looking at a vivid black 2008 SG with ABS and Cruise (no other options). While the dealer has 5 or 6 in stock (several vivid blacks, a white pearl, and a dark blue), he only has one with ABS and Cruise. Without breathing one word of "whats the best you can do..." he was offering $600 less than MSRP - which brought this one into the $19,700 range. Don't want ABS? Then it would run somewhere in the $18,900 range.

With all of the comments regarding dealer stock-overage, crowded showroom floors, etc., I'm guessing that some of you have gotten opportunistic and have made better deals than just $600 off msrp.

I realize this is a nosey question (and certainly realize that the spending doesn't stop here). I'm just trying to get some reference points.

For what its worth, there is currently 8 inches of snow on the ground and will be for another 4 months which (not suprisingly) is further aggravating the situation.

Thanks guys!

I'm no expert, just the proud owner of a 07 SG. From what I have found and heard not many dealers go much below MSRP at all. Of course economy, snow fall and inventory are bound to have an impact at some point

Well there looking to deal this time of year and I think your close on what you can buy it for. I doubt they will come down a whole lot more than that. One thing that might help, I think they are offering a 103 upgrade when you buy in the next month. You might let them know you would like that too. If they don't know about it I'll see if I can find the card they sent.

I'm ebarassed to admit I don't know what the 103 upgrade is, nor what it does. I'm going to have do do some searches back through past threads to see what a 103 upgrade is. I'd love any info you may have on this, dollar value, what it does, etc.

For clarification, the prices I noted up to were not including tax. At least I don't think they were... Worth double checking...

The 103 takes the stock 96 ci engine and makes it a 103 Big Bore.

Kit usually contains, cylinders, pistons, SE A/C, cams, exhaust, and a download for the ECM.

Hey Trock

I would love to get some info about the free 103 upgrade. I have been waiting for some kind of a deal like this to come along before I make my next purchase and I'm ready to buy.

Thanks

Agreed - if this is a genuine offer (and one that doesn't exclude other deals that are made), I'd pull the trigger this month.
