dtc codes for '01 electra glide classic
I have a 2001 Electra Glide Classic that refuses to start and flashes the service engine light within 3 secs of tring to start.
How does one go about reading the dtc codes manully?
Where can I find the code definitions?
Thanks in advance to all who respond to this request.

Thanks for the links.
I failed to mention the bike does not have the delphni system on it.
Will the link to the delphi connection for my ecm to test mode?

If not do this, its for the morelli systems.
The Check Engine Lamp Diagnostics will not indicate the existence of historic trouble codes- only current
trouble codes are transmitted.
Use of check engine lamp diagnostics assumes that the SCANALYZER (Part No. HD-41325) is not available.
1. To activate the diagnostic feature of the Check Engine Lamp, proceed as follows:
a. Turn the Ignition/Light Key Switch to IGNITION for three seconds (one second pause after the fuel pump
stops running), and then turn switch back to the OFF (FLHTC/U-I, FLTR-I) or LOCK (FLHR/C-I)
position for three seconds.
b. Repeat the instructions under step 1a. above.
c. Turn the Ignition/Light Key Switch to IGNITION and wait approximately eight seconds for the Check
Engine Lamp to start flashing.
2. All trouble codes are sent out as a series of flashes. See Figure 5-8.
Once again thanks you very much for sharing your knowledge with all of out here. I will give it a whirl when I get home this evening. It's no fun not being able to ride with the temp in the high 50's and low 60's this time of the year here in VA.
Thanks
George
