Might be more than you're willing to spend, but I have the HD Gore-tex two piece rain suit. Works great, well made and will probablylast me forever. Make sure you get something that breathes. Gore-Tex is second to none for this.
best rain suit????? that question has no answer it implies that you would knowinly go out in the rain and ride I have a plastic cheap rain gear that if I get caught in the rain I can put on. actually had to wear it comming back from oregon hated it but kept dry a little duct tap helps also...
I did about 100 miles in some moderate steady rain this summer... was wearing a $20 rain suit I bought at WalMart and I was actually pretty impressed it. It slipped easily on over what I was already wearing and kept me dry as a bone. It didn't breathe as well as I would've liked but it wasn't uncomfortably hot either. Rolls up small enough to slip in the saddlebags with plenty more room in them.
I don't mind getting caught in a shower but I try not to start a ride if it's raining. With that attitude in mind, I can't see spending huge money on rain gear.
For only a little bit more you can get a decent suit from most parts shops. First Gear makes one that I've ridden with for the last two years. Travelcade makes a cheap set of boot covers that will keep your feet dry. I did see the Harley boot covers recently and they are much better because of the sole on them. It's suprising how much wear those travelcade covers will get just walking out of hte rain to take them off.
I wear the Frog Togs..Got them at Outdoor World on sale. Have worn them plenty of times and never had a drop of water get in accept around the neck a little. Collar was a little damp on the shirt. After that, I realized there's a built-inhood that unzips and you're supposed to wear it under your helmet for the extreme downpours.Howcan you put a price on being dry?

thanks for the link steveh326, and the input from the rest of ya. I know it wont be a harley rainsuite, I don't intentionally go out in the rain, that is if it's pouring outside, but if Iknow there's a good chance of rain, I'll still ride to work.
Just looking for something to do the job pretty good and for those "aw chits" when ya get caught.
