Grimm, hear's a plan, not the plan, just a plan. Let me know what you think.
and jamesf0622,
I looked again at Google Maps and it looks like where I-85 passes just north of Shorter Ala (East on Montgomery) would be a good place to link up and maybe ride up to Opelika together for breakfast/lunch/dinner/supper, whatever. If you have a better notion, I'm all ears.
The place I'm thinking of is Exit 22, where State Road 93 goes under I-85. I figured we could meet at the bottom (or somewhere close) of the off ramp heading toward Shorter Al (so we can find each other).
i checked out the map and that looks like a great meet up spot! we can all ride in to opelika and grab a bite to eat. as the date gets closer we can start to handle the logistics of the meet! my guys and i are also planning on meeting a couple of the louisiana boys on the way up! this trip is gonna kick major ***! we'll be looking for cool places to stop, rest, eat and sleep. any comments or suggestions would be appreciated!
anybody is welcome to hook up for a while! show us some of the sights. my friend keeps talking about the national coondog cemetary. i have no clue where that is, but he's dead set on us checking it out. whatever, as long as we're all together.....
just a forewarning.....we will be quite the motley bunch. it'll be me on my trike, 3 bikes and a '27 t-bucket pulling a small trailer with all our equipment!
grimm, as my time approaches to ride to Tex, I'll get some serious details worked out with you. Don't know the exct date I'm hitting the road, yet. Probably on Wed, March 19th. Gonna take my time and be in Tx by Saturday.
Sounds like a plan. I know there a few other members that are around the Atlanta area. Maybe we can get a small "rally" together!
i think that would be an awesome idea! who else is in the atl area? we don't have to stay in atlanta, either. we are pretty flexible on who or what we do.
