Just loking to see if anyone can tell what the widest tire size isI can install on my '03 wide glide without any mods. It currently sports the 150 that came stock and I would like to go wider as chaply as possible right now.
In the future I will be looking to go out to as much as a 240 and realize I will plunking down some serions coin to do that. If anyone can reccomend any companies that make a good kit for that I would certainly file it away for later use.
Unless you're looking to go to a larger rim/wider/lower profile tire combination, I would think that a 150 is the largest you're going to get on a stock wheel for your 2003. Metzler makes a 160mm tire, but it is less than 1/2" wider overall, not really much difference.
yes metz 160 is all you can do on the stock rim. but if you change out the rim they say you can get up to 180. i found a place where you can go up to a 200 without a whole lot of modafication
will look for the link and post it. here is one http://www.dmcustoms.net/widetire/wi...kits.asp?cat=1
this one costs about 1800 but you get new rims, fender , side mount tag plate ,but you use your stock swing arm. there is one more if i can find it that just uses somekind of offset and is under a thousand but have to do some more hunting.
