ECM Calibration Numbers and Reason Why 06 Stage 1's Are Lean
For the 06 Dyna Stage 1, you'll notice that in the Required Configuration column that it basically only covers having a SE Air Cleaner. It also calls for stock exhaust!! Which means that if you have the SE Air Cleaner and aftermarket exhaust pipes (SE Pro II in my case) then you will almost without doubt be lean because your exhaust will be flowing more freely than the stock setup. If you look down the chart further it gets really remarkable. You'll notice that the calibrations call for stock exhaust until you get to the level of "1550 Stage 2 Race"!! This seems shocking to me because the first thing almost everyone changes is the exhaust pipes.
I personally don't believe it means that if you have the SE Air Cleaner and aftermarket exhaust that you are going to harm your engine if you have the Stage 1 calibration because it's a little lean. If you beat on the bike and do full throttle pulls up to redline then yes it would probably not be a good idea but for all other general riding I would think you'd be just fine. At any rate the charts are posted below for you to draw your own conclusions.

Those are apperently somewhat old charts. The sert i just bought manufactured in Feb has new map configurations available for the SEII slip ons as well as the new 25 deg Injectors for the 06 dynas.
Glad i waited to get mine. I had no idea of how often HD revises these CD's

Please answer these questions:
1. Where did you get your SERT from?
2. How do you know it was manufactured in February?
3. How do you know the manufacture date of the SERT you're buying before you buy it?
4. Can you ABSOLUTELY verify that your SERT has a preconfigured map for a Stage 1 2006 Dyna with SE Air Cleaner, SEII Pro Slip-Ons, and 25 degree injectors?
1) Zannoti.com (365 bucks)
2) look at the part # sticker on the box. It will have a born on date there as well
3)See #2 and look before buying if going to a dealer. On the net it's impossible to know really. Typically the ones bought at dealerships may have been in stock for a while sitting on the shelf getting old meaning you might not get the latest version. Ordering online usually brings in the latest version due to the high sales volume due to cheaper prices.
4) I absolutely guarantee my version (4.5.3) has the map you desire with the SE AC, SEII slip ons ans 25deg injectors!!!! You can tell what version you have by looking at the # below the SE icon once you load it on your desk top.
I will attempt to post the pdf cal list in my next post following this

Couple more for you if you don't mind...
1. What's your SERT part number? Is it 32107-01E?
2. What's your CD part number? Is it 32117-01G?
I have a feeling I already know what they are from reading some other posts but I want to make sure I get the correct items the first time so I can load and go. Once you confirm your numbers I should know what I need to get.
