Got the Sport Bob rolling. [sm=groupwave.gif] Put the bars on this past weekend. The pics aren't great but give you an idea.
Started with a 1200C. Added solo seat, DWG bars, CS slip-ons, and some bling. [sm=bling.gif][sm=bling.gif][sm=bling.gif]
I love the feel of the new bars. The stock ones were just too short for me. This gives me the laid back ride I wanted. The grips are awesome too. The stock ones were too skinny.
Pic 1 of 3...That's momma's ride in the background. Her bars should be in tomorrow.
beauty bike. i love the bob styling. when i bought my bike last year i put on a drag bar. looks great and feels extremely aggressive but my back gets sore on longer rides. i'm thinking about changing the bars to mini apes like you did. i'm worried the pull back riser will bring the apes too far back. changing the riser is too costly considering the speedo and cabling is all housed in it. i'm 6' and don't want to be too cramped. do you think the apes would be good to go?
Seat is the wide studded solo from Mustang. Part no 76442 $269
The tank and fender bibs are matching from Mustang also. Pulled the chrome tank trim to do the tank bib.

Nice bike it really looks awsome. BTW what seat are you running.
I'm only 5'8" and I had the same issues as you with the sore back. Felt it after the first ride and knew I'd put new bars on. The DWG bars were just right. Got them at a discount too. Dealer had them - they were take-offs from a DWG someone bought and re-bar'd at purchase.
I was a little concerned about the riser too. But its not bad at all. Right now the bars are the same angle as the forks. I rode the Mrs 2-up yesterday, leaned back like normal, and it wasn't awkward at all. Didn't squish her either.
I did spend more than I intended on the install. I was going to wrench it myself but the dealer said they could do it cheap. Turned out to be a bad quote and it cost twice what I thought. Still, I'd do it again. The way it rides now is worth every penny. The mirrors are useful now too.
I recommend the switch to anyone who wants a more relaxed, laid back ride.
