Default HD Brawler Solo review

I received my brawler solo seat w/ pillion from the local HD dealer. It sits lower and narrower compared to the stock seat. I'm 5'6" and have a 30 inch inseam. When I sit on the bike my feet are flat on the ground. Before the seat I was considering a lowering kit but don't need it for that reason. I'm going for a long ride this weekend, I'll let you know how it feels. Here are the pics.

Did you have 2 rubber plugs on your back guard? If so what did you do? Did you cut them off and if so what did you do about the remaining holes? It looks like you left the plastic on your back guard

Many Thanks

What's going on Ocho,

Great looking scoot, sure does look like Ft. Bliss Tx. How's the weather out there? Question? I'm in need of a seat that will put me further back and lower. Being 6'3", I feel a little crowded at the bars, does the brawler take care of these needs?

Thanks

BigJohn,

I'm just like you I'm doing my mods as the funds are available. The brawler solo allows me to sit lower and closer to the handlebars. With that said, I haven't moved the bars back or forward for any type of adjustment. It seems to just fit me. I'm also 5'6" in height. You can do a search in the softail forum on seats. There are plenty of post and pics. Hope this info helps you out. I live in AZ BTW.

Babysuge,

WOW, we both have two different heights and have different observations. Let's see some pics! I think BigJohn will have to decide for himself.

Jeff,

I'm still in the process of taking care of the rear tin. To answer your questions. The one rubber plug I left in, the plastic plug I took off because the rear of the brawler attaches to the tin with its hardware. I have some other options that I'm considering. With the passenger pillion installed it covers the plastic guard. HD sells a chrome tail section that covers that area of the tin. There are also after market options for that. Hope this helps you out.
